What to Expect on Sunday
You Are Welcomed
Entering any new environment can be intimidating. We want you to know that you are welcomed and that you are loved. We strive to create an environment where people are loved how God would love you. Our Sunday services are a casual environment and we welcome you to come as you are. Hopefully, this information helps you know what to expect if you join us on Sunday’s at 10:30 AM.
Arrival
You can enter our parking lot from Topsail road, and the entrance of our building is on the side opposite of Topsail Road. When you enter, you will be greeted by one of our deacons and guided to our Welcome Area or our Children’s Check-In area. Our Welcome Area features brochures and information on our church and ministries. First-time parents of children ages 0-12 will go to our Children’s Check-In station to learn about our Sunday morning Children’s Ministries. When you enter our worship area, you will see in the back area we have coffee, tea, and water.
Worship
One of the ways we worship is through music. We have a worship band that will lead us through singing songs. The songs we sing communicate Biblical truths. The musical portion of our service will be started by a call to worship and will include prayer. Children will be dismissed to Children Ministries part way through the musical worship.
Giving
Every Sunday, typically during our morning announcements, we offer the opportunity to give financially. We believe giving is an act of worship and this collection helps support the ministry of West End Baptist and our continuation of the mission of Jesus.
Communion
On the first Sunday of the month, we offer the opportunity for people to partake in communion. This is done in memory of The Lord’s Supper. We believe it’s a time to remember the forgiveness God has given us through Jesus and a time to reflect on our own hearts and the relationships in our lives, as we are called to forgive and love others.
Teaching
Every Sunday morning we have a teaching portion of our service. This is communicated by one of our Pastors, a member of our Preaching Team, or a special guest speaker. Our teaching time is grounded in Scripture and is to help those in attendance learn God’s Word and how it applies to our lives today. Our teaching time is usually 25-35 minutes long.
