About Our Ministries
The Crossing Church has developed a resource called “The Trail”. It is a resource used to make sure that the ministries of the church are a part of a larger faith journey. The various ministries are designed to build upon each other so that the children will grow in spiritual maturity. Each ministry has goals geared towards their age group, which allows the church to partner with the parents in a dynamic and growing relationship.
We have outlined for you below our main generational ministries. We also have information on our discipleship ministries that you can view. But if you feel that you still have questions you can contact us and let us know. One of our staff members will be happy to assist you.

Our nursery is the first stop on the trail. We have loving and caring Nursery Workers in place who are ready to safeguard your children while you connect with other adults downstairs and listen to the service. Our nursery opens during the second part of the service but is available to parents to use prior to our Nursery Workers starting in the second half of the service.
Our facility also has a Newborn Parent’s Lounge for parents of newborns who need a place to relax with their newborn and still want to take in our Sunday service.
In WONDER the children get to be a part of Children’s Ministries during the second part of the Sunday morning worship service. This age-appropriate learning engages the children to learn the truth of Scripture in a fun environment. This is the first age group that will begin to take in a lesson that is paired with an activity to help drive home the lesson they learn.
Begin is an exciting stop on the trail. During the second half of our Sunday morning service, children are dismissed to our Sunday morning Children’s Ministries. Begin is the first classroom where children will be given an opportunity to discuss what they learned after the lesson. It’s their first introduction to Biblical literacy and learning memory verses.
In DISCOVER, the children take part in our Sunday morning Children’s ministries during the second half of the Sunday morning worship service. In this time, they will hear Bible stories, memorize Scripture, pray together, and much more. Discover is always a fun environment for Children to learn and grow in their walk with the Lord.
Flyte is the final stop on the trail before children transition to youth ministries. The students in Flyte go a lot deeper in learning about the Bible, the lessons it teaches us, they participate in a discussion on the lesson, they pray together, and they are given opportunities to share.
LAUNCH is our Friday evening pre-teen ministry. We view Flyte as discipleship and Launch as relationship building. This relationship building occurs through activities, devotionals, and serving together. LAUNCH is an excellent ministry to introduce children to faith and to help them begin to develop positive relationships heading into their teenage years.
Our Junior High and High Schools students join the congregation on Sunday Mornings. On Friday night the fun does not stop as they gather together for a weekly gathering made specifically for them. Our TCC Youth also begin serving in our church as junior leaders in our Children’s Ministries and in other capacities. Throughout the year there are many unique opportunities for teenagers to help them grow in their faith in a variety of ways and to help them grow in relationship with our youth leaders who can also be great mentors.
TCC Youth are also offered the opportunity to learn scripture deeper through TREK Bible Study, this happens every week one hour before TCC Youth if TCC Youth is meeting at the church.
Ministries for Adults
The Crossing Church defines a young adult as a post-secondary student or a young professional. We have a weekly young adult small group as well as other exciting opportunities such as potlucks, movie nights, and other activities. Our leadership teams also have a high-representation of young adults – you won’t attend a ministry at The Crossing without seeing one of our young adults serving.
The Crossing also partners with Memorial University Christian Fellowship (MUNCF), which offers various small and large group activities events and outreach for students.
Join us in our weekly worship service and do not miss the opportunity to be a part of one of our small groups for deeper growth and connection in the body of Christ. A life group is a gathering at someone’s house or a space outside of the church. These gatherings are designed for a more intimate experience and to encourage deeper relationships within our church.
There are other opportunities to give, lead and serve in all aspects of church life at The Crossing Church.
